Lyassin is an avid filmmaker by day and by night—and in the event that he has to sleep, he dreams of new ideas for his forthcoming ventures. Needless to say, he is a textbook example of “I am what I do” and more specifically, “filmmaking courses through my veins.” But don’t be mistaken; he is not like everybody else, and neither are you. Ultimately, it’s that uniqueness and solidarity in our differences that inspires him to get up each and every morning to do what he does best: bring his clients’ unique visions to life. Above all, he harnesses the power of filmmaking to show others that belief in oneself is the key ingredient to success—not what people say and certainly not the menacing road blocks that appear along the way.

With nearly two decades’ worth of experience under his belt, Lyassin built his career from the ground up (literally), starting at Cameraman and rigorously climbing that winding ladder to Creative Director). Throughout his journey, he also wore the hat of Editor and Director of Photography, specializing primarily in sports and car commercial videos. To date, his multiple projects have amassed into quite the resume, including but not limited to the Filmmaker for the show Viva Vivaldi and the Executive Producer and Editor of the movie Follow Me. Today, Lyassin is the creative mind behind Collectif Art, a Dubai-based filmmaking and production company. However, no matter what venture he takes on, he is all about giving back to his community. In fact, he goes on charity trips biannually to offer complimentary filmmaking services for various charity organization projects such as the Noor Dubai Foundation.

Outside of the filmmaking world, Lyassin has a keen interest in urban culture and street art. But above all, his life wouldn’t be complete without music.
